In November 2015, the Chilean National Association of Professional Soccer or ANFP (Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional) faced its biggest crisis due to the corruption scandal involving its former president, Sergio Jadue, in the FIFA Gate case. After pleading guilty and leaving the country, he left Chilean football without any leadership
With the arrival of its new president, Arturo Salah, and his board, our goal was to restore the credibility of the ANFP and bring its operations back to normality. We focused on communicating transparency, spreading the results of the audit of Jadue’s tenure, and supporting the legal strategy both in Chile and in the United States.
We accompanied Arturo Salah during his election as president in January 2016 and provided him with advice throughout his three years in office. Our communication efforts focused on demonstrating transparency and highlighting the necessary actions for the normalization of the ANFP.
In three years, Arturo Salah and his board positively transformed the ANFP. By the end of his term, the institution had been restored, with a strong corporate governance structure and all branches of soccer being operational. We left the ANFP in a completely different state from the beginning, with a 10-year strategic plan to ensure continuous progress.
